DSEAR Assessments
A comprehensive approach
The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) is a law in place to reduce the risk of harm from an explosion in the workplace.
A DSEAR assessment helps you to:
-
Identify what dangerous substances you have and how they may be able to form an explosive atmosphere based on the processes that you undertake.
-
Put control measures in place to reduce the risk of an explosion.
-
Put controls in place to mitigate the effects of any incidents.
-
Identify areas that are hazardous and classify them in to zones.
-
Identify ATEX categories of electrical equipment that may need to be used in a classified zone, where installed.
